Enthusiastic student and employee eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Clear understanding of time management and classroom agendas with training in several classrooms including inclusion based learning and accelerated learning. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in early childhood education.
Currently attending my last semester at Georgia Highlands College where I have taken several elementary education classes and spent time engaged in two separate Cobb County elementary schools, Timber Ridge Elementary and Addison Elementary, as part of my course work. Spending over 40 hours total with several teachers has given me an opportunity to observe different styles of classroom management and improve my future teaching style. Along with being in the classrooms, I volunteered at several elementary STEM events and led several of the activities that required hands on learning and helping the students think critically. I am on track to transfer in the fall or summer of 2020 and complete a 4 year degree in Elementary Education degree at a Georgia university. Seeking a job relevant in my field as I continue pursuing my degree.
I have always enjoyed working with children. Through my teenage years I sought opportunities to work with young children both as a babysitter, part-time nanny, and as a Junior Counselor in Leadership Training with the A.E. Finley YMCA in Raleigh, North Carolina. I also began volunteering in the nursery and toddler classes at church as soon as I was old enough, where I discovered my passion to help children learn and grow.
My hobbies include physical exercise, spending time outdoors, and looking for opportunities to explore and travel one day. I believe hobbies like these are important to stay mentally and physically healthy, so I can be a great teacher one day.
