Summary

Hi, my name is Jessica Claire and I spent many years growing up in Texas under the care of my grandparents and currently at as a caregiver for my grandparents especially as they get older and have complications. I graduated from Plano East Senior High School and am I currently enrolled in A&M commerce. during my many years in Plano east I did a lot of volunteer work and I'm proud to support and work with programs that help those in need or those less fortunate because of my personal experience with my parents also not being extremely wealthy and knowing what it's like to be in need. I did much of my volunteer work through my Boy Scout Troop and I'm proud to say that through my years with the troop I was able to earn the rank of eagle along with being able to obtain some palms which are extra awards given to those not only who have achieved the rank of eagle but have gone above what was required for eagle, additionally along with obtaining eagle I was also able to become a member of the order of the arrow which is an organization that works along with other troops to help plan and manage multiple different programs and events for other Troops around in the district and along with hoping planning events and programs the organization hopes different campsites within the region to help plan their own events end gain traffic for those campsites but also to work on projects such as helping setting up new hiking trails or clearing areas for new campsites. Being in the Boy Scouts taught me many lessons and gave me many skills that I am proud to have had the opportunity to gain through my Troop and many of the experiences which I'm most proud of was being able to go through my leadership training which allowed me to gain a leadership position within the troop and I was in charge of my own patrol even being a part of PLC which stands for patrol leaders council which is a council of the leaders of the troop that get together and plan out events and make sure that we are managing and leading our members to be better and grow and develop, as well as building them up creatively to become future leaders and develop the Troop in unique ways. Other things that I gain from boy scouting that I'm proud of was my experience to learn how to help others and emergency situations and being able to train for critical environments which range from first aid and CPR training and certification but also and more chaotic or unstable environments I was able to get training in ECSI which is emergency care training for those in an accident or in a unstable environment such as out in the wilderness or areas were staple care might not be possible at the time. I am very proud of all the training that I have been able to get within Boy Scouts because that has allowed me to think more clearly and critically in emergency situations while also managing multiple tasks and I personally feel as though it has set me up to think more critically and creatively for situations such as project management. extracurriculars within my time as high as school and I still continue today were more within the field of arts as in high school I played trumpet within the school band and the jazz band and participated in that all of my high school years both within the concert season and the marching season I also participated in some extra classes that dealt with visual design and another extra classes I'm very proud of which was a pharmaceutical class that trained us to be pharmacy technician which allowed me after high school to then be able to get my pharmaceutical technician's license. I feel as though the extracurriculars I did in high school allowed me to be more creative and independent as well to further give more encouragement for my academic progress.
