Summary

Hello! My name is Jessica Claire. I am from LA and came out to Bard College for an amazing education. I am a franco-american and can both speak English and French fluently. I mainly want to do Photography and my dream is to become a travel photographer as I want to travel the world in hopes of creating new experiences, seeing cities and natural landscapes, meeting new people, and learning about cultures, traditions, people, architecture, history, etc. But most importantly seeing the world through my pictures. Not only am I interested in that but I love to dance as well because it has been such a big part of my life. I have been dancing since I was a child, to then having seven years of dancing experience through middle and high school which have taught me so much especially respect, contribution, helpfulness and leadership.

Other things that I am interested in, travel vlogging, film and movie making, history, learning new languages, art, architecture, and music.

Even though I may not have a huge working experience through out my life, I think I have learned enough through school and volunteering to be able to be in a working environment. I want to accept this challenge and I am ready to face it straight on. I am determined, I have optimism, and I have, flexibility, patience, understanding, leadership, respect, acceptance, helpfulness, resources, and skills.

Skills
  • I am in fluent in French. I learned from my mother as she is from Paris and can easily learn and teach another language.
  • I have had seven years of dance experience which has taught me how to take care of my body, how to stay active. But the most important thing I have retained from this experience is respect to my peers and my teachers, patience because practicing a choreography takes a lot of time and repetition, flexibility because in dance you part can change at any time, and being a leader in helping, teaching, clarifying, or leading a choreography. These are the most important things I got out from dance which really helped me in the future to maintain what I learned and put it to use, either at school or future work environments.
  • I have two years worth of photography experience and skills, I know how to use digital and analogue photography. I know how to develop film, and do dark room prints. I am currently learning lightroom and photoshop, as well as learning to print digitally.
  • I have also assisted my father Lane Claire (architectural photographer) in preparation of and during his photoshoots.
Experience
Volunteer, 09/2014 to 06/2021
Yavapai CollegePrescott, AZ,
  • When I attended Renaissance Arts Academy, they moved the school to another building. I volunteered to help facilitate the move and build furniture. Other ways I was being helpful was moving things to different locations in the school. Guiding students and families to building stations as well as giving instructions. Or just helping out in general.
  • Another volunteer job I did at my school was to help create posters for an anti-gun protest in LA which was a very important event. In this volunteer job I worked on my own poster as well as help other students create slogans for their signs, and be there to be of assistance.
  • I also volunteered to help an a cappella group with singing in french. I focused on pronunciation of the words, answered any questions, explaining how to say difficult words, and help clear confusions.
  • The last important volunteering job I have done for my shool was dancing and taking part of a show we performed twice a year professionally. I have helped out younger students and worked with older students to facilitate the show process as well as asking my teacher if I could help with anything. I also performed in leadership roles to help a group of dancers with a choreography. Practicing the choreography, answering questions, facilitating the choreography, and just doing anything that would facilitate the experience.
Volunteer, 04/2019 to 04/2019
Yavapai CollegePrescott, AZ,
  • I did a yearly clean up for the LA River, a citizen initiative to remove trash accumulated during the year in the river. And helping my neighborhood community by participating to the cleanup of a hill that is really special to the people of Lincoln Heights.
Model, 12/2018 to 12/2018
The Tjx Companies, Inc.Saint Davids, PA,
  • I was one of the students selected to model in Louis Vuitton's 2019 campaign for press and web adds as well as the Louis Vuitton Instagram. I attended the casting calls, fittings and shoots.
  • We were tasked to be put in a fast pace, flexible, and and repetitive work environment.
Volunteer, 04/2012 to 04/2014
Yavapai CollegePrescott, AZ,

At my elementary school we had an event called a "Jogathon" which was simply a fund raiser for my school. We would run laps around our school playground and every lap counted would raise money for our school. While I was running I would cheer on my class mates and get them motivated to keep pushing to their limits so I could be encouraged to do the same.
