I have been a mother for 19 years. I have pushed to be able to stay home and parent my children the first 5 years of their life. In that time I knew I need to maintain a importance of staying busy. I took over shipping coordinator duties in our home business.
I learned how to find things to to give myself purpose. I found a source to name brand swimsuits I bought them at a low cost of 5.00 a suit and made a 83% gross margin
I found a source to buy wedding rings, I bought them for 60.00 and made a 85% gross margin.
I decided to I wanted to expand my selling, by selling something I created with my hands. I started building ceiling lights made out of Mason Jars, I sold quite a few of them.
I wanted to try different, harder things to build. So I started building Porch Bed Swings. I have built and sold over 30 swings. From ones that are a crib size seating area to a twin size seating area. I take great pride in knowing I have created something someone will use for a very long time.
I still needed something more to help keep things moving. I started a side hustle selling returned lumber. I still sell to date. I sort, take inventory, take pictures, post online and sell. I do load and sort so I my carry strength is above average for a average 36 yr old woman, well in my opinion.
My greatest accomplishments of life to date is my three children.
I have a 19 year old who is in college. A very strong independent woman. She works, pays her bills, goes to class. She is striving to become a better, more secure her.
My 2nd daughter is 13 years old who has the mind of a young adult. She will take action on things or ideas. She has personally bought and sold things for profit. When she was in 5th grade, she changed the lunch lady hair net policy. She has taken action to get her school to paint their middle school store. She won her first beauty pageant summer before her 7th grade year, with no preparation. She is everything I hoped to be as a child.
My only son. He is still growing into accomplishments. He is polite, he leads, opens doors, has great ideas for a 7 year old. He tries to solve problems between himself and friends, usually succeeds. He can literally accomplish anything he puts his mind too. He could if allowed drive any mower, riding or zero turn proficiently. He could operate a vehicle and drive if his body was of size. He plays basketball, he is right handed but dribbles with his left. He is an amazing boy.
Those are some of my accomplishments so far in life. I know for most they may seem minor, to me guiding my children to be successful humans to this place we all call home is more than I could ask for. I do know however more accomplishments are coming my way.
MY daughter started Girl Scouts in 2nd grade. She just resigned this year. I became the assistant leader to be apart of something with my daughter. It was fulfilling seeing her and other girls, along with myself learn to grow, learn to trust and build friendships. Learn to skills and task together that will help them in life along the way. To help be someone the girls could ask for advice and look up too.
Over 13 years ago, I have had experience in Child care work. I worked in a daycare for about a year. I became pregnant and resigned.
I did help at home care. I left the job because they did not follow through on what they promised when hired.
I have also worked in two nursing homes as a NA. I left the first nursing home, after I was offered more money for the same amount of work.
