Project management including but not limited to permits, submittals, job book creation and management, and any other pertinent project paperwork.
As an employee who was willing to learn and grow. I would be happy to do deliveries of products both ordered and needed by clients and installation specialists, sweep, mop, clean up, help, teach, learn, and generally do anything to move the company forward. Whether or not it was my duty or responsibility. I never asked of my employees to do that which I would not do myself.
As a project manager it was my responsibility to take the project from conception to completion. This included meeting with the client to review their need and desire, then design/build a layout that would best suit their need. Create proposals which included layout design and parameters, material lists, job locations and maps with graphics overlay, submittals, and permits as needed. Manage Installation specialists to all needs of the client by facilitating meetings between client and installer to assure all parties are on the "same page". order materials specific to each job for example concrete mix design and load. upon completion create close out documentation and turn it over to accounting for billing.
As a sales specialist in light commercial applications. I would meet with with clients who may be unsure of how to apply their needs to any situation. Be it security or aesthetic, storage or egress. I was responsible for leading the client to the best, most cost effective, and time sensitive solution for their needs. This often required out of the box thinking and many different specialty applications of installation techniques.
In the lead installer position responsibilities were as follows. To make sure all other install teams were on time and ready to perform the days duties. That everyone had all necessary materials and tools for the installation at hand. I was responsible for clean accurate accounting of all crews time cards, truck maintenance and up-keep. We were a small outfit so other duties such as gate and iron panel fabrication, daily fueling of trucks and equipment, accounting for deliveries and product handling, painting and or powder coating, and other small tasks fell to me.
