Store Operations Director|Company Name - City, State|02/2019 - Current
  • Lead up to 250 employees, including 4 exempt managers and 12 non-exempt supervisors and one Property Manager in a $45M a year operation.
  • Accountable to over $250,000/month in wage budget, and over $3.5M in revenue monthly. In 2019 & 2020 achieved "Circle of Excellence" award for meeting operating budget, while exceeding sales forecast by over 5%. In total, have increased revenue by ~20% in two fiscal years.
  • Complete oversight of the performance management of all leaders, and how those leaders hold up to 250 employees accountable. This includes hiring, training, coaching, reviews, compensation, promotional opportunities and separation strategies.
  • Partner with Property Management Leaders to coordinate workload execution. Meet weekly to discuss corrective and preventative maintenance scheduling and validation of execution. Through accountability and feedback, able to move from a Facilities Focus Building to a Training Program Store in 12 months.
  • In collaboration with Business Partners, Site Operators, and third party vendors, created execution plans each season for landscape care and expectations, along with snow removal expectations. Follow-up when scope of work does not meet pre-determined contract guidelines to hold correct teams accountable.
  • Partner with Union Leads when gaps in Housekeeping Team execution occurs, or when an opportunity for additional recognition arises.
  • Oversaw a project team of 60 employees, including 1 exempt manager and 2 non-exempt supervisors in a $10M total store remodel. First remodel of this scope in over a decade. Through intricate planning, and detailed follow-up, was able to save the company over $30,000 in cost by finishing the project 2 weeks early.
  • Ensure maintenance completion of premium assets throughout the building. This includes: Forklifts, Work Assist Vehicles, Refrigerated & Storage Trailers, Electric cart pushers, and Electric Ride-ons.
  • Lead and oversee all Team Health & Development, Operations, and Fiscal Budgets. Leveraging company priorities and goals, develop area goals at store level with each manager. Through weekly statuses, I am able to validate progress, and course-correct as necessary to achieve store and company objectives.
  • With my leadership, team turnover has decreased by over 50% Year-over-Year, and overall Team Engagement increased by nearly 20% according to the annual Best Place to Work company survey.
  • Provide classroom training to all my leaders on why and how to embrace diversity and equity in the workplace. Connected with minority Team Members to provide a space for feedback and improvement.
  • Lead and passed all regulatory visits with OSHA, MN Dept. of Health, MN Dept. of Agriculture, and MN Dept of Scales and Measures.
  • During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I led the implementation of dozens of protocols for all Team Members. Through strong execution and accountability, the store experienced little disruption and no major outbreaks.

  • Oversaw a Team of over 100 employees, including 5 non-exempt supervisors to ensure execution of all daily operations, new company initiatives and large-scale projects. Provided training, coaching and feedback on performance. Executed employee's full life cycle from hiring, coaching, promotions, reviews, compensation and separations.
  • Managed the Property Management Leader overseeing overall facilities and vendor relationships of 180,000 sq. ft. building and the surrounding land. In partnership, planned rehabilitation projects to ensure fiscally responsible decisions were made, and projects were executed timely, and met the scope of the project. Projects included landscape maintenance, warehouse renovations, and asset replacement projects.
  • Annually planned and coordinated substantial events including Black Friday which resulted in over $2M in revenue in 4 days. Through collaboration with peers, and senior leadership, led the business to the most successful and lucrative weekend in it's history.
  • Developed long-term strategies to resolve underperforming business areas in $30M and $80M Businesses. Leveraged Best Practices to hold leaders accountable to their core roles, and created a culture of success and sustainability.
  • Promoted a collaborative culture as the payroll captain in stores. As captain, I considered all feedback and created plans involving $350,000/month in wage budget allocation. In addition, audited schedules to validate plans for operational, and service-oriented tasks.
