I also reorganized the store's layout to maximize the floor space to meet the demands of the business increase.
At store 3466, I attained Model store status, #1 in overall sales volume, #2 overall sales comp at +18.15% over last years sales, #1 in literacy donations for the year, #1 in district for shrink reduction, #2 expense to plan, and I reduced shrink from $65,000, -3.88% to $16,900, -1.29%. In addition, I established a literacy donation program at the store that not only was #1 in the district, but raised, on average, $250+ per week.
At store 4527, Reversed a negative sales trend to positive, Led a team to reorganize the store's layout to increase sales and reduce shrink, and reduced the shrink from $98,000, -7.98%, to a $32,000, -2.29% loss.
Since 2008, I've trained 7 different assistant store managers and 1 lead sales associates to be promoted up to store managers for Dollar General. 3 of which are active store managers for district 441.

I served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and served two combat tours in Iraq. One in 2004 and the other in 2006. During my deployments, I was part of a weapons company, mainly carrying out ground patrols and reconnaissance missions. I led a team of marines through the streets of fallujah and completed every task I was assigned. Leadership, determination, hard work, and being on time were daily requirements. I received multiple awards, including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal, and a purple heart. I was honorably and medically discharged from service from injuries received in Iraq on November 23, 2006.
