Global Start up Management (GSUM) demonstrated knowledge of the corporate initiative start up methodology and tools for new processes or equipment. Initiate project join up with team charter. Establish communication plan for start-up team. Own the GSUM Initiative Roadmap and the development/tracking of the integrated action plan for the change. Establish pre-production budget and own tracking of cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and review equipment contracts and technical data package plans to identify the equipment configuration and specification requirement which the vendor processes must meet or exceed. Coordinate and attend vendor acceptance testing to ensure quality compliance.
Reviews and ensures equipment, material, people, environment, methods, and other inputs to new/changed production/manufacturing processes and associated process controls to assure that contractual technical requirements are met for new/modified items or for products transitioning from early engineering design to production according to global standard.
Fluently maintains open communication channels with customers, suppliers, other specialists and supervisors. Takes action to describe, discuss and resolve technical and contractual concerns identified. Initiate and lead manufacturing readiness (Operations Assessment and Manufacturing Deliverables). Initiate and lead Instantaneous Start-Up (ISU) risk assessments. Prepare, maintain and retain plans, records, data, reports, correspondence and other documentation as required. Develop and draft procedures to include equipment installation and operational quality validations per global standards.Performs safety risk assessments and analyses, relying on relevant customer, supplier performance, and assigns risk ratings to quality systems and key processes. Ensure quality compliance with higher level contract requirements to be a preferred vendor.Define and deploy an integrated start-up plan and schedule. Initiate & lead the GSUM+ materials plan. Own plant-level start-up team/operations safety plan for change after construction turnover. Own peer review process for initiative/project start-up plans. Own updates for master-plan, in process measures and output measures to the change master-plan and dashboard over the life of their project(s). Develop and give project presentations to various audiences and levels in the organization as the “voice of the project” giving updates, projects reviews.Lead, coach, develop and actively support operating team members for their shift. Plan the daily work activities of the shift team, prioritize when workload exceeds resources available and or collaborates with other leaders to flow resources to the needs. Maintain personnel training records and develop work plans and conduct personnel quarterly reviews.Coordinates and executes experimental orders and performance qualifications line trials at the site, including material coordination. Execute equipment installation and operational quality functional checks. Ability to coordinate and change over equipment components for multiple new production runs.Perform all production operational tasks as aerosol hydrocarbon pressure filling operator, quality inspector and mechanic. Responsible for all aspects of troubleshooting and repair on a wide range of machines, such as aerosol pressure filling, valve inserters, crimping, labeling, capping, shrink-wrapping, case packing machines and conveyors.
