  • XXXXXXXXX Morehead State University Alumni, an Officer in the United States Army National Guard. I am very detail/goal oriented, hard working and ambitious. I have years of experience with customer service, management, and leadership. I have years of experience leading peers, public speaking, event/mission planning, and problem solving throughout my ROTC career at Morehead State University and also through my Army career, in which, I am now a 2nd Lieutenant. Transitioned from a soldier, who ultimately follows the guidance of higher rank, to an Officer, who's main goal is to lead Soldiers, I have seen and experienced what it is like to be an adequate follower, but also what it means to be a leader of others. Other skills I have acquired, include the 6 years of customer service I have, from working directly with the public, whether it be in the food industry as a manager, as a server, or as a inside sales associate. Working in this type of industry is definitely humbling and teaches you to adapt and to react quickly to real life situations and events. I have learned what it takes to always put the consumer first, and the amount of motivation needed to please people and treat everyone fairly always. Strengthened by my college education, military and leadership background; I am confident that I can offer the skills necessary to be successful in life and in my career.   • I have been in service for going on 4 years, but have recently commissioned in May 2020. I am currently in the Quarter Master Branch (Logistics and supplies), and was previously enlisted as a paralegal.
  • Being in this position requires many things, including leadership skills, public speaking, adapting and overcoming tough situations, resilience, planning, discipline and so much more. I am in charge of leading and directing a platoon of soldiers, and it is my responsibility to point them in the right direction and to give them a mission and purpose. Commendations: I received the "Army National Guard of the United States Excellence Award" while in CST summer of 2019.
