  • Developed an Audit and Compliance program for the Bank; Developed the Bank Secrecy Act policy, procedures and risk assessments; Successfully coordinated training and the manual on Information Security, Network and PC, Disaster Recovery and Security;
  • Developed monthly Board reporting and training of the Board of Directors for Bank Secrecy Act and Red Flag, Identity Theft programs; Created a Teller Manual to include Teller tasks and responsibilities; Serve on Management Team to design bank products and services; Have maintained bank losses for overdrafts, fraud, and debit card losses under proposed budget;

  • Direct, manage, and coached a team of 15 multi-departmental employees including, Safe Deposit, Retail Operations Officers, Telephone Banking, Response Team and Project Managers; Provided retail deposit assistance to 100 financial centers for operational soundness, compliance and security; Participated in the design and delivery of training sessions to financial center teams regarding policy, procedures, retail operations, security, and compliance; Designed and implemented a successful corporate audit program, which coupled with training, was intended to improve audit scores.
  • Resulted in an increase from 1 Excellent score in 2002, to 7 Excellent scores in 2003 and 14 in 2004; Reviewed bank procedures on bait money and suggested a plan that would save the bank $750,000.
  • Plan was implemented and the bank was able to invest these funds verses sitting idle in bank vaults; Designed and developed a program to improve the monitoring of the bank's safe deposit box compliance and past due rents.
  • Resulted in bank being in full compliance with regulations and a 90% decrease in past due rent on safe deposit boxes within a 12 month period; Successfully coordinate the opening and relocation of financial centers.
  • Implemented a plan where a new financial center is ready to open within two days of receiving the certificate of occupancy.
  • Successfully used this plan to open 9 financial centers in 12 months; Coordinated the training schedules for deposit conversion training to bring SouthTrust Bank and Wachovia Bank together.
  • Scheduled approximately 500 employees and managed an additional 7 employees during this project.

Wachovia Bank NA - City , STATEVice President - Region Operations Manager
  • Managed and coached a team of five Retail Operations Officers, served as liaison to 80 Branches with management of a 25-member travel team; Delivered various training initiatives to the teams in the financial centers, i.e.
  • policy and procedures, retail operations, security, compliance; Reviewed and implemented with team innovative strategies to provide sound banking policies and improve bank operations; Coordinated branch closings and openings; Conducted branch audits for corporate compliance and adherence to bank policies; Served as charge off committee chairperson, reviewed and coordinated the reporting of all losses, lowering losses by approximately 40%.
  • Implemented an awards program for preventing losses; Served on Disaster Recovery Team as the Market Coordinator.
  • Implemented procedures during several hurricane situations and other financial center evacuation requirements; Participated on the merger teams to bring 1st United Bank, American Bank and Republic Security Bank into Wachovia; Managed the main office for 1st United Bank with a team of 10 retail delivery employees.
