  • Designed and conducted a quantitative quasi experimental research study to explore factors that contribute to the understanding of college major persistence among undergraduate college students; Utilized the findings to develop a case management approach to advising at risk nursing students resulting in 100% retention rate in the first year.
  • Utilized the integrative literature review as a research methodology to examine current peer mentoring literature specific to its impact on stress and adjustment in the first year of college and retention outcomes. Utilized findings to develop a freshmen peer mentoring program;
  • Serve as primary instructor and course developer for Academic Strategies since 2014. Academic Strategies introduces students to time management, career planning and goal setting, professional writing and, cultural competent and inter-professional practice.   • Redesigned freshmen seminar course, Academic Strategies for Success, to a college-wide Inter-professional freshmen seminar, IPE Freshmen Seminar, now being implemented across all 15 sections of the course;
