Managed senior management team of 17 professionals. Strengthened credit union's community relations involvement by becoming active on local non-profit Boards. Led senior management team to establish best practices policies for the loan modification process with State and National regulator involvement. Led team of staff to implement enterprise risk management department. Developed and directed strategies for launching new products. Maintained a high ROI of over 1% which was among the highest in the nation. Developed after-hours seminars with expert guest speakers for entire membership. Spokesperson for television and bulletin board ads for Cox Communications Business platform.
In charge in the absence of the President & CEO. Responsible for branch network oversight and consumer lending, member services and all administrative department functions. Negotiated numerous contracts with vendors. Restructured a robust employee bonus program resulting in over $500,000 in savings. Established member focus groups and surveys to enhance member satisfaction, which was over 96% satisfied. Partnered with the Holiday Bowl Association to identify SDCCU as the title sponsor of the inaugural Poinsettia Bowl in 2005. The partnership involved a charity element with the Make-A-Wish Foundation; $1 of every ticket sold went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This was the first Bowl in the nation that had a charity tied to it.
Responsible for Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Compliance/Legal, Facilities Management, and all administrative functions. Maximized operational efficiency by coaching staff on various customer service initiatives. Conducted numerous member penetration studies to identify potential future branch locations. Oversaw the development of the new Product Development Model analyzing product profitability. This resulted in numerous changes to the product line.

Established a Business Development Department consisting of three staff. This became a best practices for local credit unions. Responsible for working with the Department of Financial Institutions in acquiring field of membership Bylaw changes. SDCCU was the first credit union to obtain approval for field of membership approval for the entire County of San Diego. Managed a database of over 850 Select Employer Groups (SEGs) to offer credit union membership increasing employee penetration by 5%. Developed a Community Relations Plan with over $1.5 million budget. Partnerships were developed with local companies and non-profits coordinating sponsorships with media exposure. Worked with 75 local non-profits with the community relations efforts.
Assigned to the Auditor & Controller Department, Administrative Services Division. Full responsibility for the $20 million department budget and all areas of fiscal management as well as Human Resources management. Oversight for the mailings of all property tax bills, welfare and retirement checks, revenue and recovery statements among others. Supervised a staff of 20. Involved in the acquisition of the Purchasing and Revenue & Recovery Departments with the Auditor & Controller Department.
