Instruct everyday math lessons indoor and out to explore basic math concepts through developmentally hands on activities. Incorporating counting, comparing sorting , adding and subtracting into the daily routine.
Utilize second step early learning development program using feeling cards, puppets, games and songs to give children strategies on how to regulate their behavior. Students learn focusing , empathy, friendship and problem solving skills.
Monitor, observe and document learning and behavioral challenges of students. Making referrals to PIRT when necessary to develop intervention plans to promote positive support for all students to succeed.
Supervise students with IEPs and disabilities implementing their educational plan to achieve the best possible results in an inclusion classroom.
Provide accommodations , adaptations and modifications needed for all students to succeed making adjustments in lessons and the environment to assist their particular needs.
Coordinate data from the ESI-R screening and follow through with scoring re screen and referrals.
Incorporate classroom management plan in which students and families are provided with clear, consistent direction and knowledge of classroom and school related rules and consequences.
Trained in CPR, first aid lock down, and fire emergency evaluation procedure.
Promote good school parent relation ships by organizing parent conferences, back to school nights and home visits to discuss students academic progress and behavior.
