Paramedic for Symons Ambulance01/2014 to CurrentI work on a split EMT & Paramedic ambulance as the only unit covering the city of Bishop and surrounding areas as the only EMS responder for the area, also doing ALS intercepts to volunteer units within Inyo county and remote areas into NV. Due to our remote location almost daily I run calls with flight nurses and paramedics as ground transport for critical care transfer to larger hospitals, giving me great experience in emergency flight operations. Here we function as the only ambulance covering this area, working here has provided great experience working with limited resources, having to deal with multiple calls, multiple patients, and difficult situations with only myself and an EMT as initial response. Being the only unit we are forced into situations that responders from other areas would not experience. This work environment leaves a lot of good opportunity to make stressful decisions and provide great patient care with whatever calls I am dealt with no near-by back up units and broad protocols. This job requires a paramedic with good decision making capability, excellent and efficient patient care, and the ability to do most treatments without any assistance in the ambulance do to long transport times or a second call. This is a busy system due to their being a single first out unit.

Full time Paramedic for Americare Ambulance08/2011 to Current. I have over 3 years of field experience at Americare. This Job has given me a lot of experience in working under stressful situations and providing emergency care. I work as primary 911 with Santa Monica Fire Department and also BLS, ALS, CCT, and RT IFTs throughout LA county. I also carry out a lot of training of new hired field employees which has given me great experience being a teacher and leader. This Job continues to improve my experience and qualifications that I can use as a building block toward my future career as a flight paramedic. I am involved in a busy 911 system in a tourist city which offers a wide variety of EMS responses. 2005-Present Vast experience with all stages of new-construction specializing in plumbing in both residential and commercial applications, from digging ditches to technical installation. I have a large amount of experience in construction from the ground up. This is where I began to build my work ethic, the family business was a primary building block in making me who I am because I had to work harder than any employee to give toward my family. Working here since I was an early teenager I learned not only the trades of construction, but I also got a huge understanding of how a medium scale production business was operated which plays a huge roll in my daily work as an employee for other businesses as I understand the other side of a business more than a normal field employee which can help me to be a better asset to the organization.
