My name is Jessica Claire I am 31 years old currently living in Highland California I've been a painter for the past 12 years more or less and I want to say I started from the ground up started working residential with family did that for about 2 years then I went ahead and applied into a company (j.p Carroll coatings) in which I start off as a beginner but my first job for the company was actually swing stage so I have about a year experience in swing stage the very basic didn't get certified but the company I was working at the time would do a lot of swing States work. the company all commercial I did everything from offices, hallways, stairwells, warehouses, buildings, epoxy floors, staining, retail, tilt UPS all interior exterior oil base water base epoxy stains in a very little bit of metallics and conventional spray. From there I decided to start my own side jobs and one side job lead to another and in to another and to another residential and commercial for a period of 4 years I became independent. I learned how to manage schedule meet customers give quotes run jobs do jobs etc I was self-employed and I was working by myself so I I was pretty much in charge of everything which gave me the opportunity to learn and grow past just being a painter. Being self-employing going to meet all these customers I had to learn how to do more than just paint to stay competitive so I went into drywall taping and just all these other things that the customers would ask for. And whenever times were kind of rough or slow I would just go work for independent contractors that would give me day work from time to time but I stayed very busy and I was doing very well and so we had a life change and I was forced to move about a hundred miles from where I initially started my career. All my clientele was too far for me to keep my business going so either I attended my clientele and left my family behind for long periods at a time or I had to to look for a company job that could give me stability closer to home so I went back to JP Carroll coatings I got the stability but they were sending me extremely far that's where I decided to move on to Timberlake painting which I am currently working for and I want to say that this is a very good company but not a company that can grow.
