In 2008 in Safah, Oman. After the upgrade and changing out kelly to the Canrig top drive, Nabors rig 862 was drilling single and dual lateral wells in a time frame between 18-26 days a well. Today we are drilling these same wells in 13-16 days from spud to release. We have came together as a team and put our minds together to create a smooth operation that is safe and very time efficient.
Responsible for all rig operations, down hole operations, personnel, daily reports, morning reports, safety meetings, filling out and filing paper work. While keeping good communication between contractor and drill site supervisors.
In charge of the drill crew and keeping good communication with the company man. Responsible for drilling and completing the well in a safe and timely manner.
Responsible for everything on the rig and preparing tools needed for the next operation. Setting a good example for my coworkers to follow. Supervising drill crew and helping wherever help may be needed.
