I am an energetic teacher candiate with background in special education classroom support (inclusive practices). I am highly skilled in helping lead teachers in setting up classrooms, instruct students and maintain lesson plans. I am committed to improving knowledge and understanding through ongoing education and seminars. I am talented in using various strategies to model positive behavior and maintain classroom discipline. I have experience in a wide variety of careers and job positions, which have led me to develop a multitude of skills.
Bachelor of Science in Education / Expected December 2020
I am currently a senior at the University of Nebraska at Omaha working on my Bachelor degree of elementary education with a concentraion of inclusive practices. My currently cumulative GPA is 3.380.
I was chosen to complete an internship at UNMC. This internship consisted of getting respite certified, volunteer hours, and field experience. Becoming respite certified means I am able to provide short term or temporary care of the sick or disabled for a few hours or longer. Respite care was designed to provide relief to the regular caregiver such as parents, guardians, and families.
I completed the CNA course at Clarkson college the summer of 2016. I obtains my license the summer of 2016. It was an accelerated class in summer. We worked in clinical at Douglas County Hospital to experience a diverse learning environment.
I was responsible for the teaching of toddlers, ages 18 months- 24 months. I was incharge of one classroom along with assistents. I was responsible for supervising children, helping prepare snacks and lunch, preparing a learning curriculum and implementing it.
