As a freshman in college at the University of Arkansas, I am currently a member of the Honors College, which you must have at least a 3.5 GPA to be a part of.
Award/Honor 2: Falcon Flight
Rockwood Summit teachers and coaches are permitted to nominate one student per year for an award known as Falcon Flight. The award recognizes the most determined, and honorary students/athletes of the current year. I was a recipient my sophomore year of high school.
Award/Honor 3: District Recognition
My seventh grade I was asked by my National Junior Honor Society director to perform a puppet show pertaining to disabilities. Continuing the show for six years, I would graciously go on to receive an award from the Partners in Education of the Rockwood School District each year.
Award/Honor 4: Honor Roll
In order to make the honor roll, students must obtain a minimal grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. I obtained a position all four years of high school.
Award/Honor 5: MSHSAA
At all three state competitions, as well as yearly banquets, I was awarded for my previous academic standings. These awards have included bronze, silver and gold rankings.
Award/Honor 6: NJHS
Dating back to my years in middle school, most specifically spring of 2013 - fall of 2016, I upheld a 3.5 or higher-grade point average taking all honors courses available rather than standardized courses. Resulting from my academic achievements, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.
In terms of scholarships for college, I applied to many and earned a good number of those I applied for in the year of 2019-2020 for the 2020-2021 school year. Among these would be the Fraternal Order of Police Scholarship, another first responder tailored scholarship for the descendants of Lieutenants, the non-resident tuition award for the University of Arkansas in which you must have had a 3.8 cumulative GPA as well as at least a 28 cumulative on your ACT to obtain the highest value awarded (90%), which I received, and a few more.
