I have been lucky enough to have found my calling early in life. When I was a junior at Christopher Newport University (CNU), I went to a panel discussion about the International Criminal Court (ICC), and I knew immediately afterwards that I wanted to work within the international community doing something with human rights and humanitarian aid. I ended up concentrating in International Law for my Political Science major, and I also found myself drawn to Europe, so I spent my time in European history classes for my history major. I could not have enjoyed my undergraduate experience more; I had the perfect background to start the new chapter of my life at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I am currently working on a Master of Arts degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolutions.

Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights both play an intricate part in global peace, development, and conflict resolution.
