Water Resources Modeler and System Analyst: Eastern Nile Multi-Sector Investment Opportunity Analysis Study
- Provide the overall leadership, management, and technical direction;
- Coordinate Staffing and projects team;
- Develop Project Proposal and Resource Mobilization;
- Manage Projects, Negotiate Contracts and Bidding Evaluations;
- Project Design: Support Preparation of Appraisal documents;
- Design and Coordinate Seminars, conferences, workshops and Regular Meeting with wide spectrum of stakeholders.
- Ensure the achievement of project objectives and performance indicators; the quality and timeliness of project work; fiduciary management; effective human and resource allocation.
- Managing following Specific projects:
- (a) Baro-Akobo-Sobat Multi-Purpose Water Resources Development Study (Value 2.6 Million Euro funded through African Development Bank- Ongoing);
- (b) Nile Cooperation for Results Project (NCORE ENTRO Component, Value 6.5 Million U$S, funded through NBTF and World Bank-Ongoing);
- (c) Eastern Nile Joint Multi-Purpose Study (Funded through NBTF World bank; Value 3.5 Million U$S, Status: Completed);
- Identification and planning of new round of investment projects;
- Knowledge Management and Capacity Building at Regional Level;
- Policy Formulation for Climate Change and mainstreaming environment and safeguards;
- Leading the Regional EN Flood Season Monitoring Program.
- Serve as a senior Water Resources Planner and WR Modeler for the following Specific Projects:
- (a) Eastern Nile Planning Model Project (Value: 5.6 Million U$S, Funding Agency: World Bank; Status: Completed);
- (b) Eastern Flood Preparedness and Early Warning Project (Value: 5.1 Million U$S, Funding Agency: World Bank; Status: Completed);
- (c) NBI Institutional Strengthening Project (Responsible for ENTRO IWRM and Knowledge Base Component; Value: 2.4 Million U$S, Lending Agency: NBTF World Bank; Status: Completed).
- Teaching at Post graduate levels courses in System Analysis, hydrology and hydraulic computations.

- (a) Flood inundation Mapping and Flood Risk Assessment for the Blue Nile River System Serve as Water Resources Modeler. Consultancy undertaken by UNESCO-Chair in Association with Riverside Technology Inc., Colorado US.
- (b) Hydraulic Design and Scour Analysis for 6 Bridges in Sudan. Consultancy undertaken in Association with University of Khartoum Consultancy Cooperation.
- (c) Planning and Design of a Drainage System for Tokar-Grora Highway (320 Miles Highway linking Eastern Sudan town of Tuker with Eriterian town Borader of Grora). Consultancy is undertaken as part of a team of individual consultants recruited by New-Tech. Company.
- (d) Investigation and Conceptual design for Oil-pipeline exposure to flooding in Northern Sudan . Consultancy undertaken as part of a team of individual consultant UKCC.
- Design of Water harvesting facilities for Water Supply of RD Camps in Darfur Sudan. Consultancy Undertaken as part of Individual Consultant Team recruited by Sudan UN Office.
- Review Site Development Plans and Design of Storm water Management Facilities;.
- Administering floodplain regulations, zoning ordinance, Chesapeake Bay preservation ordinance, process exceptions and waivers.
- Serve in a Number of Technical Committees which set out design standards and specifications.
- Negotiate arrangements for design with Engineers and wide spectrum of stakeholders engaged in Land development industry (Northern Virginia).
- Recommend approval of grading plans and development plans and support bonding process and review as built plans.
- Carry out hydrological and hydraulic floodplain analysis.
- Perform Flood mapping and issue Letters of Map Revision.
- Administering FEMA Flood Insurance Program and Issuing LOMR and CLOMR.
- Prepare business plans Community Water Supply and Sanitation Program as part of the National Reconstruction and Development Program (RDP) for South Africa;
- Design and alignment of utilities for a number of residential and commercial sites;
- Design and upgrade of Pumping Stations. This include Kimberly Sewage Station in the Eastern Cape;
- Serve as Hydrologist and Water System Modeler : Breede River Basin Study Western Cape.
- Preparing grading plans, subdivision plans and site plans for a number of developments centers and residential areas in the Republic of South Africa.
- Preparing tender documents, cost estimates and bill of quantities as well as supervision of a number of development projects.
- Perform Research and Post-graduate studies as part of the Regional Water Resources Program supported by UNESCO and Republic of Ireland.
- Teaching Courses at Post graduate level on Analytical Hydrology, Stochastic Hydrology and Flood Frequency Analysis.
- Coordinating Seminars and capacity building activities.
- Carry Applied Research on calibration of hydraulic infrastructures, erosion and sediment control analysis, management of bank erosions in the Nile, estimation of crop of water requirements for irrigation schemes, Preparing irrigation design manual for irrigation schemes Data analysis and collection Coordination of Seminars and workshops.
