This position receives, assesses. screens, processes and assigns for investigation. Reports from professionals and community members of abandonment, abuse, financial exploitation, neglect and self-neglect of vulnerable adults, make referrals to other agencies and assesses imminent risk and safety. as outline in Chapter 6 of the long term care manual and in accorJessicace with RCW 74.34.
Answer live calls, receive, collect, screen, process and input data into automated systems, research, and complete and assign reports.
Collect and evaluate relevant information from reporters, contact collaterals, determine investigative response times based on risk and safety and assign the reports to an APS investigator.

Supervise, coach and train staff in a 16 bed acute mental health living unit ensuring that evidence based treatment is being provided in a safe and secure environment.
•Model professional standards of conduct and enforce state standards for ethics and use of state resources; conduct timely employee evaluations considering performance in relation to the knowledge, skills and abilities for the position; assess needs and ensure employees receive proper training to accomplish the duties of the position and for ongoing development. Prepare and present cases for multi-disciplinary case staffing and other required case or administrative reviews as required. Monitor and ensure adherence and fidelity to clinical and environmental standards required by JRA's treatment model; performing basic data entry and retrieval functions using an electronic management information system (ACT).
•Educate youth and staff in the principles of JRA's Integrated Treatment Model, promote and role model competency in related skills; write and speak clearly and effectively in a professional objective manner; inspire confidence and trust in colleagues, youth and families, and stakeholders. Communicate effectively with a variety of groups, organizations and agencies, including juvenile justice and social services professionals; law enforcement, courts, schools, treatment providers. Promote productive connections with families and engage them in the rehabilitation and successful transition of youth; conveying warmth, and optimism in interactions with youth and families.
Supervises security staff on an assigned shift within the institution. Provides training and briefs staff, conducts staff evaluations; issues equipment to staff and identifies vehicles to be used by staff, supervises movement of severity staff. Is responsible for campus wide security operations during assigned shift; reviews logs to identify potential problems. Ensures the safety and security of residents, conducts bed checks and room searches; conducts hourly security calls. Serves as back-up to units and responds to calls for assistance; intervenes in and defuses assaultive or crisis situations between residents or residents and staff; physically breaks up altercations; determines action on situations; contacts the O.D. and/or Superintendent if restraints or pepper spray is determined to be required; directs staff in action to take situations; assures security staff are given appropriate equipment. Searches for escapees; coordinates internal searches ; determines cottage shut down and lock-ups; maintains logs provides briefing for next supervisor.
