I began my public service in 2003 with the Village of Georgetown as a certified firefighter with a Level I certification. I proved my service and abilities after countless volunteer hours and training. These sacrifices proved successful with my promotion to Lieutenant in 2010. This position is a key role in overseeing a crew's safety in any emergency scene. While with the Georgetown FD. In 2015, I completed my Basic EMT certification and passed the State of Ohio Board testing.
I began my law enforcement career after graduating from the Brown County Peace Officer's Academy in 2011. Once successfully completing the academy, I served the Adams County Sheriff's Office as a Special Deputy Sheriff. While employed as a Special, I volunteered numerous hours to the citizens of Adams County as a road patrol Deputy. In addition to my patrol duties, I trained with the Adams County SRT and TDI. In February 2012, I came to the Georgetown Police Department as a part-time Police Officer. Even as a part-time officer, I often volunteered my time and services to the Village of Georgetown even when not expected. In my first year of part-time employment, I was recognized as having the most criminal and traffic cases filed through the Georgetown Mayor's Court. These accolades continued the entire time I was employed as a part-time officer.
In 2016, I was brought on to the GPD as a full-time officer and received the “Top Cop” award my first year as a full-time officer. In 2017, 2018, and 2019 I again received an award from the GPD for filing the most Municipal Court cases. Furthermore, I feel my desire to exceed at anything I do and the ambition to continue my education and training will only lead me to success in any aspect of my career.
Throughout my career, my reputation and character have always been an important aspect of building relationships with the professionals I work with, as well and the citizens I serve. I believe integrity and the willingness to work with others is paramount in the career I have chosen. Furthermore, I feel that where I am in my life will make me a valuable employee.
