At the end of the program, students present their projects and showcase their personal development. These projects are self-directed, but students have Schoolyard Ventures staff at their disposal for guidance and brainstorming. An upper school pitch competition sponsored by Drexel University that challenged students to develop an idea for a business, profit, or non-for-profit. Students could start a small business, large company, solo venture, or start-up. Each student was required to develop their idea, identify the market9s) and consumer they aimed to target. The culmination was a five-minute pitch to convince judges to invest in their idea. Ideas were judged based on innovation, impact, implementation, metrics, presentation delivery, and pitch deck/presentation.
