  • As an Intern I worked directly with the museum's collections, managing them and preserving them.

  • My main project was the accession of the Bassett glass lampshade collection that was gifted to the museum in the 1980s.
  • One of my main responsibility was everyday gallery maintenance: ensuring all of the light bulbs in the gallery were working and making sure all the galleries were clean for the museum's guests. 
  • I assisted in multiple registration projects; including data entry and inventory of the collection.

  • As a lead I was responsible for opening and closing the exhibits.

  • Informing guests about the museum, and if there are any special programs or events to look out for on any given day.
  • A large part of my job was selling and processing memberships to the museum.
  • I also worked at the National Geographic 3D cinema for the museum.
  • This job initialed selling movie tickets and showing movies.
  • As well as running the gift shop.
  • I gained extensive knowledge working with and educating children.
InternBurchfield Penney Arts Center - Buffalo, NY
  • My responsibilities included organizing a collection from the Buffalo Society of Artists.

  • Burchfield's journals and letters.
  • Editing audio files for the Burchfield's Living Legacy Project.
  • Installing art for exhibitions.
  • Setting up a display case to feature the Buchfield's 50th anniversary.
  • I also completed any other task that was asked of me by mentor, this included anything from assisting with cleaning to attending meetings.
