2006-2013 Ballet Folklorico Dance Teacher
In order to promote more cultural activity at our school, I worked with the parent support specialist at my school to create a Ballet Folklorico dance program for our first through fifth grade students. I teach them traditional dance from the different Latin regions and we hold an annual Cinco de Mayo program as well as perform around the city for different events. I have rallied to get the support of our parents for fundraisers, the making of costumes and creating props for our shows.
I have always had a passion to learn more about best practices. If ever I felt that I needed to improve in any area, or felt that my practices were not producing the results I wanted to see in my students, I sought out a training that would hep me improve in that area. Attached is a list of all the trainings I have attended.
