-I work as a wilderness guide taking guys to Ontario/Manitoba on month long canoe expeditions after their sophomore year in high school.
-Help develop Leadership and communication skills through an intense outdoor setting.
-Help educate the importance of making decisions that are best for group rather than self.
-Educate on the importance of leave no trace and environmental awareness.
-Teach whitewater/paddling skills, prepare food, routes, gear, and first aide necessary for trip.
-WAFA certified.
Swiftwater safety certified.
-Organize on campus events to promote outdoor activity at Saint John's University (i.e. Triathlon, Outdoor weeks, adventure challenges, canoeing, climbing, day trips).
-Check in/out and organize outdoor gear to students.
-Help volunteer with other groups on campus promoting outdoor education/activity.
-Work with students from surrounding area schools in team building obstacle/challenge courses.
-Guide BWCA trips for incoming freshman as a pre-orientation trip a week before school begins.
-Wilderness trips around the country (hiking, canoeing, climbing, car camping).
-Help plan on campus activities such as: triathlon, quidditch tournament, roller disco, and Banff Mountain Film Festival.
-45 day, non-resupplied canoe expedition from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories-Kugluktuk, Nunavut on the Arctic Ocean via the Coppermine River in 2015.
-30 day canoe trip in northern Ontario/Manitoba with Les Voyageurs Inc.
