I am extremely interested in working in the Mental Health field and would appreciate the opportunity to contribute my academic and professional skills to your line of work, in exchange for experience in this field. My interest in Mental Health began when I took courses that were focused on this topic, specifically abnormal psychology. I am looking forward to one day being able to apply the counseling skills I have learned in a setting where I work with the mentally ill. I am eager to work as a Mental Health Worker to strengthen my understanding of the Mental Health field and the different dynamics of this career. My strong suit is relationship building and I am always striving to create a positive environment not only in my work life but in my personal life as well. Through my management and serving experience, I have learned many things about myself, one being that I thoroughly enjoy working with people and being exposed to the diversity and uniqueness each person has to offer. With my education in psychology counseling, I have gained extensive knowledge that can be impactful at Mind Springs. Knowledge that includes but is not limited to the understanding of various mental health disorders, the ability to lead a group counseling session, and knowing the importance of social, biological, cultural, and emotional factors and the roles they play in mental disabilities.
