Many years of self-employment taught me how to lead people and realize that each person is different and sometimes needs led in different ways. It has taught me the importance of putting the right people in the right place to be as efficient as possible. Now working for someone else I was also being asked to be responsible for the every day operations of the mill. Maintaining the machines and making sure the job is done and ready for the next day was a large part of my daily activities. I also helped with two other businesses my employer was operating which was a camper dealership and a campsite as well which was rented out throughout the camping season. My responsibilities included but are not limited to selling campers, installing add on features, making sure camper was clean and ready for customer, doing the paperwork on the day of the sale, cleaning and maintaining campsite, minor fabrication and repair on trucks and trailers and many other jobs that were needed to keep all three businesses going.

In 2016 I sold my delivery business which was contracted through FedEx Ground and Home Delivery. At my peak I owned and operated 6 trucks and routes. This experience has improved my character as a leader and has forced me to do whatever was necessary to make the business successful. I had to learn to be flexible and adapt well to many different situations. I know what it takes to work hard, and well with others, until the job is finished. I have had the pleasure of working with countless customers and always went the extra mile to make sure they were always happy with the services they had purchased.

Some of my responsibilities were to make sure every package was delivered every day with a smile, keep my end of the operating agreement with FedEx, keep trucks maintained and operating, and to make sure employees had a job and a paycheck. I was the owner and CEO of Davis Delivery Services Inc. for 8 years. I was responsible for employees, trucks that I owned, and the logistics/daily operations/ paperwork/office work that was involved in running multiple delivery routes.

I qualified to compete two years in a row at the PA Truck Driving Championships placing 4th in 2015 as well as winning the Rookie of the Year Trophy. I have also received multiple safety awards from FedEx.
