Work with Charter Representative to set up a Troop checking account or sub-account based on guidelines from the Charter Organization.
If sub-account is set up, work out the process for handling money with the Charter Rep and head of the Charter Organization.
Assist in establishing a Troop budget with Troop Board prior to the initial Parent Info Night or Registration Meeting.
Continue to communicate, and make available, Troop financial reports, to parents.
Serve on Troop Board and Troop Volunteer Team.
Maintain financial records and checkbook for the Troop under direction of the Charter Organization.
Work with Troop Coordinator and Vice Coordinator to develop annual parent meeting agenda.
Present the approved Troop budget to parents.
Collect Troop dues and registration fees and deposit into the Troop account.
Create a system of reimbursements for Unit Leaders, implementing any requirements set by the Charter Organization.
Make sure receipts are included with requests for reimbursement.
Set up expense accounts for the Troop's needs.
Obtain Charter Organization's state tax-exempt certificate for those who purchase items for the Troop.
If requested, create any necessary financial records for Charter Organization and Troop Board.
Make deposits and disbursements for activities and events of the Troop.
Contact families who have outstanding balances due to the Troop.
Work with Unit Leaders in managing their funds.
Keep track of each Unit's income and expenses and make sure they are staying within their budget.
Coordinate with Troop Coordinator to prepare the Troop Financial Report.
