MO Teach mandated 2 day course to soldiers leaving the Army. Topics include college selection and financial planning. Majority of course includes information on the different GI Bill options, what forms of schooling the GI Bill covers, differences between various forms of the GI Bill and which form is most advantageous to the student. Students are also taught how to fill out and submit GI Bill application. In addition, position requires one on one counseling after the course to ensure complete understanding of the GI Bill application process. Duties outside of teaching class include briefing retiring soldiers on their GI Bill benefit and how to make best use of their benefit, assisting family members of soldiers on understanding GI Bill benefit transferred to them. Additional, duties include assisting soldiers in all aspects of the educational process including college selection, acquiring Army Tuition Assistance and FAFSA applications.
