Operates and Maintains 1M Gal/Day water system with adjacent water system emergency inter-connect, sewer system, emergency oil spill dam and diversion pond along a major creek, fuel storage, pipeline, and distribution systems, interior and exterior plumbing systems, and natural gas systems. The facilities include deep-well well houses with on-site potable water treatment, water and fuel storage tanks, lift-stations, and water tower. Also responsible for locating and marking underground utilities for construction projects in accordnace with New Jersey One Call requirements and New Jersey State Laws. Responsible for training and equipping 250 personnel in preparation for worldwide military deployments and emergency operations. This is accomplished through scheduling personnel for hands-on/class room training, providing guidance for online-training, and purchasing required equipment as specified by regulations and reporting instructions. Worked in coordination with Emergency Management, Security Forces, Medical Group, Wing Deployment Office, Transportation Scheduler, Logistics & Material Control, Contracting Office, Air Mobility Command (AMC) Functional Managers, Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency (AFCESA), and other agencies as needed to accomplish tasks.
Procured materials, tools, and equipment for 20 personnel in support of plumbing repairs, fire suppression systems repair, lawn sprinkler systems repairs, back-flow prevention device repair, water and waste water/sewer system operations and repair including pumps/motors, electrical/electronic components, transitional pipe couplings/adapters, HDPE Pipe repair couplings,and SCADA/Telemetry system repair. Also provided contractor support with Water, Sewer, and Natural Gas line locating and mark-out prior to work clearance.
This classroom/hands-on training covered the 1500 GPH ROWPU including site selection, operations for both freshwater and saltwater sources, acceptable uses for the types of water produced,multimedia filter backwash and reverse osmosis (r.o.) element rinsing procedures, maintaining and replacement of filters and r.o.elements, electrical/electronic troubleshooting/repair including the programmable logic controller (plc), modules, and sensors.

This hands-on course covered the fundamentals of reverse osmosis/desalination, site selection, potable water treatment, Field portable ROWPU and water distribution system set up, operations, maintenance, and tear down. This course also covered the removal of Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical agents from source water prior to processing through the ROWPU and acceptable uses for the brine water produced in the RO process.
