  • Provide leadership and problem solving to 25+ direct team members (shipping staff), plus all the indirect members working in shipping 1st shift, and the warehouse staff, including drivers from receiving and cycle counters.

  • Check trailers and orders to ensure shipping standards and avoid liability from carriers and/or customers.
  • Alert Customer Service personnel aware of any upcoming unexpected event that may hinder the customer’s order expectation(s).
  • Request from other facilities such as Naperville or Wheeling any unavailable stock to ensure customer order completion.
  • Manage timing with docked trailers to avoid any possible detention.
  • Communicate with the 3PL carrier in case of an unexpected loading situation that may prevent us from completing the loading process. (Work order discrepancies, full order completion, etc)
