Greeted each and every table within an allotted time frame, while handling a 5 table section in a high-volume restaurant where my nightly sales were anywhere from $1600-$3000 on any given night.
I worked at a brewery so it was critical to know all the rotating beers and how they were all made. We have 10 Taps which all had our own in-house brewed beer which I became familiar with.
Handling the guests drink and food order on a hand-held device, I was able to find out if we had any one item in stock at any given moment.
The menu was large and consisted of flat-breads, burgers, main entrees, bar snacks, starters, deserts, soups and salads, all of which I memorized and was able to speak easily on diet information when questions surfaced.
Completed daily 'running side work' which consisted of sorting and rolling silver wear, cleaning service stations, cutting fruit, sweeping and mopping, stocking cups and keeping water carafes filled.
Promoted drinks, deserts, and any specials we had to optimize sales for myself and the restaurant.
Worked efficiently with a well diverse team that included people from all over the world.
Maintained a minimum of 8 tables of guests, where I upsold items from our food and beverage menu.
Monitored the intoxication of each and every guest who has had any alcoholic beverage. Also oversaw the quality of food coming out of the kitchen to my tables, always making sure I was serving the highest quality of food we can offer.
Garnishing dishes and quickly delivering the items to the guests in a timely manner.
Check identification to enforce age regulations for alcoholic beverages.
Help organize the restaurant so steps of service would become a more natural and fluid process (back area where servers get drinks, make coffee, brew tea, etc.) Always kept clean and well maintained throughout the shift.
Kept my register at an even balance throughout the shift while making change for other servers and guests. Collected credit card and cash payments, inputting the correct information into the our system tp track items sold, money made, etc.
Worked with the managers to transition into some of the changes of Covid-19 (Removing tables, re-organizing the Dining-Room to better suite our guests, and getting the cleaning protocols up to date.)
Applied comprehensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer as well as appropriate pairings to help increase sales for myself and the restaurant.
Promoted a clean, safe, and fun work environment for myself and others around me.
At times, I would also be the only server on the floor so I would also greet the guests, take them to their dining area, take the order, make the drinks, run the food, and clean the table. Chili's is a brand that does not have any "Bussers" so the servers are a one man wrecking crew that takes care of all steps of service.
Created a safe and sacred environment for students to come in and begin to learn the practice of Yoga.
Fostered and cultivated positive and healthy relationships with students that became more like family than they did friends.
Explained and gave thorough detail about the many different facets of Yoga and how each path may resonate more with what your intention may actually be.
Demonstrated and performed postures and "flows" for my students so they have visual ques and not just descriptive terminology.
Adhered to all company standards regarding safety, compliance, and continuing education.
Leading up to four (4) classes a week, currently I am only teaching two (2) online.
Transitioned all of my in-studio classes, to online platforms due to Covid-19 concerns. Learned how to market and influence to bring more people in the door, even while online.
Wrote down and created my own guided meditations that I have recorded and put online for the company to use as videos on their website and Homepage.
Served and currently serving as a point of reference for Yoga expertise within the company.
Maintained the cleanliness of the studio and all the equipment I have for students to use.
I collected payment, tracked class history and memberships, and also created the schedule.
Single-Handedly ran an entire store for my first ever retail job. Managed a wide range of issues daily, such as resolving pricing issues, removing damaged products and replacing them, placing special orders for customers, and organizing the entire store at the same time.
Regularly asses the sales floor stock levels to replenish when needed, fold and organize clothes that have been taken off the shelves.
Resolved any complaints or issues by providing knowledgeable, quick service to meet any need that may have arisen.
Stayed current on merchandise, stock management, delivery orders, and inventory levels throughout the season.
Seasonal Job that ended up stating we saw and helped up to 1.8 million people during the 5 months of work.
Opened and closed my store appropriately, according to the correct protocol given by the company.
I was also a driver and picked up the other employees from their places of work and drove them safely back to the community where everyone lived.
Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy Certified, (T.I.Y.T)
It is a certification that has taught me all about a deeper mind-body connection to those who suffer from mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. Its given me the education on specific parts of the brain and what happens when these feelings become 'triggered' or heightened due to stressful situations. I am also taught how to "regulate" some of these more intense feelings and bring ourselves back to a place of 'clear minded-thinking.'
