I am a friendly and competent woman in recovery, who is well versed in substance abuse.I have always wanted to work in the recovery field so that I can help give back what was so freely given to me. I would be successful at reaching all types of patients and making a positive impact on future recovery chances. Eager to bring skills and my two plus years of being completely mind and mood altering substance free to a role with Ocean Mental Health.
I was in involved with the Oxford House organization as a member of my areas chapter for approximately one year. During that time, I had to administer urine tests when someone was suspected of using, I was involved in a lot of conflict resolution, and I was often a sympathetic ear, willing to help in any way I could when someone was struggling or just needed to talk.
I have had extensive personal experience with addiction, ranging from involvement with the law, being a mother struggling with disorder, maintenance programs, etc. I truly believe that I could bring so much hope to many people.
I have a valid NJ drivers license and a vehicle, and more than willing to help clients get to a meeting, a court date, treatment, etc.
