Core Qualifications
  • Formulation experience in forms of liquid, powder, dispersion and tablet.
  • In-depth knowledge in coatings, paints, colorants and inks.
  • skills in and development of water borne resins by emulsion polymerization.
  • Expertise in microencapsulation
  • Knowledge of Rheology, Surface properties and other physical parameters lelated to resins, coating formulas.
  • Experience in stabilization of emulsions and dispersions.
  • Skillful in experiment design, process development , scale-up and pilot production.
  • Hands on lab skills in analytical instruments, GPC, HPLC, Goniometer, IR, DSC, SEM, etc.
  • Experience in providing technical support to marketing/sales teams and customers.
  • Collaborative with teams and co-workers.
Accomplishments
  • Served as leader in one of the teams for Titanium Dioxide reduction in paint formulations. Achieved multi million dollars cost savings for the company. The method is the most practical and most effective in the paint industry in the world compared to the published relevant technology. It achieved better results than these achieved by the prominent companies in the world.
  • Created a stabilization method for a new cross-linking technology for water borne coatings, rendered the technology having been practically used in a wide range of products of the the company. The technology is patented.
  • Invented a new technology which allowed the non-glossy coating surface being used in high humid atmosphere such as bath & spa rooms while maintaining excellent surface properties and performances. The technology is patented.
  • Created an innovative method to solve the product problem in a photo finishing solution which was formulated by FujiFilm Research Labs in Japan. The simple physical modification on the photo processing equipment quickly solved the insufficient bleaching power problems in high through put photo minilabs. This method allowed Fuji avoiding worldwide large scale reformulation. as the results, the company saved hundreds millions dollars and corrected the design flaw in a very short time period. The method was nicknamed as "Claire's Magic Tube".
