I've had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. I'm the youngest of seven children two girls and four boys. I accepted the Lord as my savior when I was 17 years old. I began to use my singing and musical gifts in the Church as early as I can remember.
My musical skills developed and landed me a position in the band as a drummer at Greater St Stephen Baptist Church under the leadership of then Elder Paul S Morton. My wife and I felt a tug in our spirit once we had our first Child and married to relocate to Dallas, TX. IN 1993. It was in Texas under the leadership of Bishop David E. Martin that I grew into the gradual progression of being ordained Pastor
In 2003, my Wife and I felt the spirit of God leading us back to New Orleans La. to assist my Elder Brother in ministry at his Church, Temple of Praise Ministries. During this season all of the preparation for ministry in Dallas was used to its fullest as Associate Minister. While faithfully serving in ministry, I heard the voice of God instructing us to plant a Church in New Orleans. After much prayer and fasting we sought for release from our Bishop and spiritual covering in Dallas. He agreed it was the right time and ordained and released to plant a ministry in New Orleans.
Our Official launch date for ministry in New Orleans was Labor Day Weekend 2005 at the Holiday Inn on Westbank Expressway.
We never got the opportunity to launch due to Hurricane Katrina. The Storm forced us to migrate back to Dallas to seek temporary refuge. No one could have told us that packing for three days would initially turn into three months in Dallas. So, while in Dallas we prayed and God gave the release to start in Dallas, where we pastor until today.
In 2016, the Lord spoke to my Wife and I again, to move back to New Orleans. He said that his plans for us to minister the Gospel and serve our Community in NOLA was still ordained to be so. While we were standing still to move with God in this region, we began having small group's sessions for a while. The place that I desired to minister and plant was always in the 9th ward. I'm was born in the 9th ward and then moved into the 8th ward when I was one years old. When we initially came home, I noticed that the most underdeveloped and underserved community in New Orleans was the 9th ward. In my eyes and a visionary I see the 9th ward and entire 9th district as untapped potential. The sky is the limit for the ninth ward and I truly believe that it will be the catalyst for an end time revival and harvest. I truly believe that just me being considered for this amazing opportunity is the awesome sovereignty of God. I'm open and ready for whatever God is going to do in this season.
Blessing!!
