  • Developed partnership between Florida Hospital Heartland Division (Advent Health) and the Lake Placid SDA church in order to bring better service to our communities of the health initiatives the local congregation is providing. Worked very closely with the hospital administrators in planning and organizing relevant outreach events.
  • Assisted local chaplains at Advent Health when they needed additional staff. All volunteer work. We provided pastoral care for the staff and patient population. Provided pastoral assistance and support to both patients and loved ones during crisis situations. Related effectively with clergy and individuals from variety of faith and non-faith traditions. Handled emotionally disturbing situations. Facilitated and participated in prayer services while honoring religious preferences of patients, loved ones and staff within hospital. Supported medical teams, offering compassionate assistance when handling traumatic and end-of-life situations.
