  • Sodexo SEED (Sustainability Engagement and Expert Development) Community of Practice: Member of a group of sustainability subject matter experts and trusted advisors that support the implementation of Sodexo's Better Tomorrow Plan.
  • Sodexo Western Regional Sustainability Committee: Member of Sodexo's sustainability committee focused on Sodexo Stops Hunger Champion: sustainable practices and the Better Tomorrow Plan.

  • Yampa Valley Sustainability Council: Consultant, volunteer, presenter, and community partner for the expansion of the Food Recovery Network beyond CMC and to our local community with the goal of encouraging additional food service establishments and nonprofits to reduce food waste and feed the food insecure on a local scale.
  • North West Colorado Food Coalition: Member of a community task force dedicated to addressing food security, and specifically food recovery, in Routt County.
  • Representatives include the Director of Human Services, the Director of LIFT-UP of Routt County, and the Director of North West Visiting Nurses Association, among other key community members.
  • CMC Food Club: Vice President and co-founder of a club joining the Real Food Challenge working group and the Food Recovery Network chapter on campus.
  • Food Recovery Network (FRN) Chapter: Founder and lead on a project to start a FRN chapter at CMC Steamboat Springs that addresses the issue of food waste by recovering left over food from the dining hall and donating it to LIFT-UP of Routt County and Skate Church, to be provided to food insecure families in our community.
  • Students for Sustainability Club: Club member and visionary for the "Weigh the Waste" collaborative event between Sodexo and Students for Sustainability Club.
  • Food that would normally be thrown away, was collected, weighed, and then displayed as a catered event with visual aids to communicate waste percentages.
  • This events purpose was to bring awareness to the amount of food being wasted in the dining hall, in a positive and visually appealing manner.
  • Has been repeated two more times since Spring of 2015.

  • Assist the General Manager in all account operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, employee hiring and training, scheduling, human resources, and customer service sales and relations, and marketing.
  • Introduced Sodexo's Better Tomorrow Plan at the unit level and lead the organization of sustainability themed events, such as the "Weigh the Waste" and monthly community "Sustainability-Themed Meals," for Spring 2015, Fall 2015, and Spring 2016 school semesters.
  • Co-developed the organization of the Employee Engagement subcommittee for Sodexo's Western Regional Sustainability Committee focused on education and engagement of the Better Tomorrow Plan through involvement of hourly employees Initiated, implemented, and developed food waste programs to address all areas of the EPA's Food Recovery Hierarchy.
  • Represented Sodexo as a presenter for the Colorado Association for Recycling Summit as part of the EPA's Fed-Up with Food Waste panel, as well as a guest speaker for the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council's Zero Waste for Food Service and Food Recovery Information Kick Off Information Session.
