  • North West Colorado Food Coalition: Member of a community task force dedicated to addressing food security, and specifically food recovery, in Routt County.
  • Representatives include the Director of Human Services, the Director of LIFT-UP of Routt County, and the Director of North West Visiting Nurses Association, among other key community members.
  • CMC Food Club: Vice President and co-founder of a club joining the Real Food Challenge working group and the Food Recovery Network chapter on campus.
  • Food Recovery Network (FRN) Chapter: Founder and lead on a project to start a FRN chapter at CMC Steamboat Springs that addresses the issue of food waste by recovering left over food from the dining hall and donating it to LIFT-UP of Routt County and Skate Church, to be provided to food insecure families in our community.
  • Students for Sustainability Club: Club member and visionary for the "Weigh the Waste" collaborative event between Sodexo and Students for Sustainability Club.
  • Food that would normally be thrown away, was collected, weighed, and then displayed as a catered event with visual aids to communicate waste percentages.
  • This events purpose was to bring awareness to the amount of food being wasted in the dining hall, in a positive and visually appealing manner.
  • Has been repeated two more times since Spring of 2015.
