With compassion and a strong professional discipline, I am seeking a full time Medical Dosimetry position at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. I am a clinically certified Radiation Therapist with over 17 years' experience and a commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction. As a radiation therapist I have treated critically ill patients of all ages with precise ionizing radiation following the prescription set forth by the physician. To further build on radiation therapy knowledge, I recently continued my education through the University of Wisconsin with a Masters degree in Medical Dosimetry. I will be board eligible in January 2017 and I am enthusiastic to begin my career in as a Medical Dosimetrist.
I look forward to serving patients, physicians, and staff in my new role. I have enjoyed my 17 years as a Radiation Therapist and have further supported my certification with a Bachelors in Health Arts and Masters in Health Administration. However, my true passion is the technical aspect of working with the physician to attain a concise, deliverable treatment plans with accuracy and efficiency. I am a team player who works well with colleagues to ensure proper treatment techniques and accuracy in the technical aspects of treatment planning. I am dedicated health professional and I have a strong commitment to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. I have worked very hard to continue my education and I continue the quest of lifelong learning. Obtaining two Masters degrees, of Health Administration and Medical Dosimetry is a great accomplishment. I am committed to lifelong learning of the newest techniques and procedures. I have served as a volunteer through my professional organization like the AAMD during annual meetings. I have also enjoyed serving patients through community focused events such as Relay for life, Cancer Survivor Day, Holiday celebrations.
