• Conscientious and skilled operating room nurse with years of professional experience. Eager to resume the plan to return to work force at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center to provide patients with quality care and support the hospital staff. Having spent 28 years working in the OR, functioning in this environment is second nature.
• Safety awareness is the first priority: these patients (more than in any other specialty) are completely dependent on us to protect them and provide for their care.
• Most valuable asset is critical thinking: being able to incorporate all of the skills, knowledge, and experience acquired and adapt them to a current situation.
• Use of organizational skills to streamline each stage of patient care.
• Kindness and a positive attitude serve as essential qualities to facilitate best practice in caring for patients
• All of these precepts are vital but the theme that yields the clearest perspective in every situation is being a patient advocate.
