Future Growth Concepts Projects- The project was in CEPDEP Phase 2 and we were defining and evaluating all our options which included process simulations, utility requirements, equipment evaluations. process options and site locations,
Monitor the construction of the Sulfur unit and work on training the operators and working on start up manuals. Coordinate the engineering efforts in Flour offices Camberley with the construction site in Tengiz.
Monitor engineering efforts participate in HAZOP for the Sulfur Recovery Unit and the Utilities area.
Monitor Engineering efforts, participate in P&ID reviews, Participate in HAZOP's for the Utilities, Power Generation and Oil & Gas Units. Review and approve the engineering drawings for the design and construction. Insure that the HAZOP items are incorporated on the construction drawings.
Review the engineering drawing and participate in the HAZOP for the changes required to the existing facility to accommodate the additional production from Train 5. Monitor and schedule the installation of the new Piping and equipment. Train the operators to start up and operate the new piping and equipment.
Monitor the installation and modifications of the existing equipment in the four original process trains, KTL's 1,2,3,& 4, to increase the production from 6.8 mmty to 9.2 mmty. Trained the operators and modified the start up manuals to safely operate the modified facilities.
Team leader in the integration of two existing refineries: Chevron and El Paso Refining LP, an independent refiner. The combined capacity of the integrated refineries is 100,000 BPD. Expanded facility was staffed with former operators and supervisors from EPR. The integration of the cultures has been more challenging than the processing equipment.

Butamer CPS/Vacuum Sulfur Recovery

During my tenure the refinery was expanded from 35,000 BPD to 50,000 BPD. Responsible for training all operation personnel to safely start-up and operate the expanded facility; evaluate and hire additional personnel
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of a specialty chemical manufacturing facility that produced a wide variety of chemical intermediates, primarily derived from C5 diolefins.
Providing engineering and project management services for process & mechanical design of petrochemical & refinery process units; also provided start-up assistance, optimization and feasibility studies.
