  • Describe your qualifications for this vacancy by providing a brief description of your accomplishments that demonstrate that you possess the requirements stated on the job posting.
  • These accomplishments may have occurred in various settings.
  • 1.
  • While serving in a detail capacity as the Inspection Service operations Tech (ISOT) from Jan 2011 -Present, I was tasked with responding to; The State of LA and Southern Texas, over 169 stations, 105 Inspection Service employees and more than 300 phone-calls a week via the National 1-877 number.
  • I meticulously familiarized myself with Inspection Service policies and procedures and more so with zip codes and area codes to the Inspectors that handle specified targeted areas and their corresponding domiciles.
  • I am able to quickly determine action to be taken and directing our customers to the appropriate departments and/ or agencies via proper departmental policies.
  • Due to my prompt assertiveness and my attention to detail, I have significantly reduced the number of discrepancies in reporting and addressing complaints in a timely manner from 12 discrepancies a month down to three discrepancies a month, by verifying customer complaint forms in the Financial Crimes Database (FCD) system and ensuring their complaints are being queried and investigated if deemed necessary.
  • 2.
  • I have worked with computers and machinery in the ever growing technological world for more than 18 years, providing me the opportunity to work with such software programs as; Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, Fax, Scan Email, Excel, People Soft U.S.
  • Navy, Defense Joint Military System (DJMS), Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR), Collection Point Management System(CPMS), Web Box Activity Tracking System (WebBATS), Customer Inquiry and Response System (CICRS), My Post Office, Change of Address Reporting System (COARS), Accurint (Investigators Network for Law Enforcement), Fuel Asset Management System (FAMS), TXPDS Driver License Imagery and Financial Crimes Database (FCD).
  • My ability to learn new software, policies and procedures and applying them to my duties has vastly reduced the time it takes me to do a given task such as when I was assigned to assist Inspector Fisher.
  • I utilized specialized copier components that allowed me to make ready three compressed files of months' worth of inventory from three vehicles, over 150 credit cards, and more than 528 victims spanning over a seven year time frame to be used as evidentiary support for a trial which was scheduled to commenced the very next week.
  • This reduced the work hours it took to have the material presentable from 56 hours to 36 hours.
  • Because of my dedication to keeping up with new implemented programs and forms, I am able to come up with concise and informative answers, thus providing case inspectors statistical summaries and reports compiled of classified and or sensitive information.
  • This knowledge also aids me in providing assistance and information to our customers via consumer awareness from an array of scams preying on their lack of knowledge.
  • 3.
  • In order to curtail excess or otherwise unnecessary expenditures such as high gas, vehicle maintenance, supplies, and contractual agreements, I maintained and reconciled receipts and invoices to the eFleetCard system verifying any discrepancies that may cause the Inspection Service a loss.
  • During my detail as an ISOT, I have been tasked with inputting 8320's into the eBuy2 system.
  • PS Form 8230 is used to certify and authorize payment for goods and services received.
  • Failure to submit prompt payments may result in late fees, Prompt Payment Act Interest, or utility shut-off.
  • Therefore, my extreme and concise attention to detail has allotted me to expeditiously process and reconcile over 300 payments or receipts while working with either the eFleetCard system or eBuys2 systems, thus ensuring timely payments as soon as the invoices are received to maintain effective Inspection Service and consumer relations.
  • 4.
  • As an acting ISOT I was required on a daily basis to provide case inspectors with data from various informational systems to aid in the research needed to identify a (or) suspect(s) in a case.
  • Possessing the knowledge to be able to research and identify someone through COARS, ACCURINT, and TXPDS Driver License Imagery System via a name, driver's license number, previous crime charges, and or address change is an essential tool as an ISOT.
  • I provided case inspectors with accurate real time address or known associate address information that may link a suspect or a victim to a specific crime.
  • Thus eliminating possible suspects therefore, resulting in the locality of a suspect in a case and a promising arrest or administrative seizure, such as when I aided general analyst Donna Brown in identifying the location of residents of a PA home that's was to be seized.
  • The addressee info provided enabled the seizures to move forward with the required noticing to all addressees who have interest in the property 5.
  • The Inspection Service consists of a wide area of support.
  • Having worked various Human Resources Departments and most importantly as an ISOT, I developed the ability to be relentlessly resourceful in providing customer service.
  • My duties included; properly scheduling the use of our conference room with the District Office, which reinforces our work relations.
