Providing oversight of the police department's Operations, Investigations, and Administrative Divisions. During the Chief of Police's absences, assume responsibility for all operational issues. Routinely provide administrative support to other city departments working closely with the City Manager, Mayor, and City Council. As a member of command staff, respond as needed on a twenty-four hour/seven day a week basis to those incidents requiring administrative oversight. Daily operation activities include community engagement, technology, media relations, personnel administration, program development, planning, training, budgetary issues, internal investigations, and disciplinary actions along with special projects.
