  • Polyphenols regulate total glucose levels in Zebrafish Embryos exposed to high pulsatile glucose.
  • Subcutaneously administered capsaicin reduces blood glucose levels and improves insulin levels in STZ-treated diabetic mice model.
  • Discovery of natural products as leads to inhibit therapeutic drug targets Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) and Lysine-Specific Demethylase 1 (LSD1) using structure-based drug discovery methodologies, and experimentally validate discoveredleads using in-vitro assays.
  • The antidiabetic and anticancer potential of discovered polyphenols as DPP4 and LSD1 inhibitors and as well in cell culture studies.
  • Metabolomics in cell supernatant using 1H-NMR spectroscopy and pathways analysis using network biology.
  • Also, high molecular weight proteins modulating calmodulin were purified from Garlic, and biological activity assays were performed to demonstrate the antidiabetic and anticancer potential.
  • Repurposed FDA approved drugs, and cyclic peptides as serine protease inhibitors and insulin receptor modulators (as insulin mimetics) and as well in the design and development of pharmaceutical nanocomposites to regulate glucose metabolism that benefits to treat diabetes mellitus in the context of nanomedicine.
