Summary

I have worked in the field of horticulture for most of my forty-six year working career. I have, at various times, been a greenhouse grower, a nursery propagator, an orchid grower, the pesticide applicator for a large nursery, greenhouse grower/ manager on a large estate, and nursery crew supervisor. I have extensive experience pruning, and caring for woody plants, both in the field, and in containers. I have extensive knowledge of propagation and production of annual, perennial, woody plants both hardy and tropical, and vegetables. I am a licensed pesticide applicator with two private licenses, greenhouse and nursery, which I have held since 1986. I have extensive knowledge of spray equipment, chemicals and applications that work. I am UMASS Extension Green School graduate, and a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist.

Maintained the pest control on 1400 acres of nursery stock in the field, and 50 or so acres of containerized nursery stock, and perennials.

Greenhouse grower for a large wholesale operation with 30,000 square feet of greenhouses.
