God called me to ministry when I was 15 years old. My pastor asked me to pray about being a minister. I laughed and told him I didn't have the necessary skills. He told me that I was a minister anyways because the church has a "priesthood of all believers." I prayed for weeks trying to discern what God would have me do. Then one Sunday, a men's quartet came to sing and they sang a song about needing workers in the field. In their repeated refrain, I heard God calling to me asking me to serve. I wrote on my bulletin "Yes, Lord, I will be your worker in the field." Since that day, I have pursued the call, ever seeking to hear God's still small voice and boldly follow the Holy Spirit to expand the kingdom of God.
I am passionate about Jesus and prayer. I enjoy leading through prayer, example, instruction, and coming along side God's people. It is a joy to watch others grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus through worship, Bible Study, one on one conversation, and ministry opportunities.
Administration is a strong skill for me. I am good at organizing and aligning people and ideas and resources. I am also good at helping people to better work together.
I love serving Christ's church and Christ's people. Even in the places where the church falls short, the Church is still the vehicle by which this world marred by fallenness, can be transformed by the grace and love of Jesus. And I cannot imagine doing anything other than serving my God through through the Church.
