Panhellenic DelegateKappa Kappa Gamma
Currently I serve on chapter
council for Epsilon Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at University of
California, Riverside. Within Kappa we aspire to uphold the highest values of
education, love, friendship, and loyalty. In this council I serve as the
Panhellenic delegate in which not only do I communicate the doings and status
of our own chapter but also the doings of every chapter on campus within the
National Panhellenic Council to our national headquarters to make sure we do
not stray from our values. Not only did this position help me understand the
importance of communication but it also taught me how to take initiative in
order to increase efficiency. Throughout the time that currently I have in this
chapter I will continue to strive to become an even greater leader and role
model to the 100+ women within the fraternity.
CaptainWest High School Varsity Cheer
Being a Varsity Captain for Cheer
was a lot of work and required me to be available for my team at all times,
these girls looked to me to lead them. It taught me leadership, patience,
mutual respect and how to take initiative when no one else would. Because of
this leadership position I learned how to make myself more approachable,
friendly and trustworthy; it is my belief that this will help me with customer
service. I have the ability to carry conversation with customers and make the
feel comfortable, making it much easier to successfully help in all purchases.
Sharedbread Soup Kitchen ChairKiwanis Key Club Board
Key club is a student run
volunteer organization. Within Key Club I was in charge of one of our biggest
weekly events, Sharedbread Soup kitchen in which we served the local needy. Within
these weekly service events we were able to serve the homeless ourselves, not
only was it very hands-on but our advisor always told us that we should be
serving them like it were a five-star restaurant. Again, because of this I was
primed to view customer service as a very high priority I also very fortunate
to learn second-hand about second chances and hard work.
Active Member California Scholarship Federation
California Scholarship Federation
was an organization was exclusive to those with 3.0 gpa or above. This was also
a volunteer organization that offered many different events for volunteer. To
be an active member you had to have a specific amount of hours of volunteer
however, you also had to maintain above average grades. Throughout my high
school career and even now I am capable of balancing my schoolwork and my extracurricular.
This ultimately shows that no matter what is happening throughout my life the
efficiency and quality of my work will never waiver.
As a cabinet member in ASB we were required to be a helping hand to everyone within ASB whether it was making posters or flyers in order to increase publicity to working the student store and greeting students with a friendly and sincere personality but also quickly determining and meeting all their needs. Being on student council taught me something different from everything else listed because it focused on making me a greater and more efficient group worker which will be helpful to me in the retail field.
