I am a Neuromusculoskeletal Specialist and Chiropractor, specializing in Sports Medicine Rehabilitation. For the last decade, I have owned and operated a very successful medical facility on the island of Palm Beach, Florida. My patient base consisted of high-end notable people including top professional sports athletes and celebrities. I have decided to relocate my family back to the Buffalo area. I'm seeking a highly respectable and reputable practice to join, where I can contribute my knowledge and services. I am thrilled to say that Dr. Alexi did an amazing job of keeping our team healthy while educating the players on taking care of their bodies and being diligent with recovery and care, during injury and non-injury moments. Dr. Fakhari believed in a process that allowed the players to get the most out of our intense training and preparation for matches each week. After playing for so many years with multiple organizations and many comparisons, I am confident in knowing that I received the best medical care under Dr. Alexi Fakhari. Prior to the 2011 World Cup in Germany, I experienced an injury that could have easily eliminated my ability to play. Dr. Fakhari treated my injury aggressively, insuring speedy and maximum healing going into the tournament. I am grateful for his efforts, allowing me to compete that summer. I was able to work with Dr. Alexi again this past fall. Dr. Fakhari played a critical role in my post-surgical rehab on my knee, which allowed me to return to the field of play in a very short period of time. Dr. Alexi Fakhari gave me and the MagicJack SC Players a huge advantage with his progressive and consistent care. We undoubtedly need more physicians in our profession that treat with such an aggressive approach, like Dr. Alexi Fakhari. In Woman's soccer, we are accustomed to a more traditional treatment protocol. In my field we train years upon years with the World Cup and Olympics as our ultimate goal. As a professional athlete, I want the best, most cutting edge, innovative treatment to heal and promote my body to be at its absolute peak for these events. Dr. Fakhari did that for me. I had a fusion of my L-4, L-5 and S-1 vertebrae in April 2010 to remedy severe sciatic and other pain. Post-surgery, I continued to have severe pain even after the normal recovery period and confirmation that the fusion was correctly performed. I did not obtain relief from steroid injections or significant and prolonged physical therapy. The pain I was experiencing even 18 months after surgery was debilitating and made it difficult for me to sit, stand or walk for more than 30 or 40 minutes at time. I was unable to work a full day, travel (which my job as an executive of a multinational company requires), or engage in physical or social activities, and I was taking Celebrex, Lyrica, Tramadol and Extra-Strength Tylenol on a daily basis to help manage the pain. About 18 months after my surgery, I began treatment with Dr. Alexi Fakhari upon the recommendation of a friend, and his care changed my life. Within a couple of weeks of treatment, I began to feel better. During the several months that followed, I was able to gradually reduce my medications and increase my physical activity. I am now able to work a full day, travel for both work and pleasure, participate in social events, play tennis, ride my bicycle, regularly work-out at the gym, and otherwise engage in productive life with only minimal over-the-counter medication. Dr. Fakhari is a knowledgeable and extremely competent healthcare professional that truly cares about his patients and their outcomes. I attribute my recuperation and quality of life to Dr. Fakhari's care, and I have recommended him to several of my friends who have experienced sports-related or other injuries.
