Upon moving to Summit, MS a few years ago, I have enjoyed the pleasures of visiting, teaching, and sharing spiritual gifts with congregations across the Southeast. I have conducted weddings, funerals, and provided interim pastoral services for large congregations when asked.
After sitting under the leadership of Pastor Joel Sims for a year, my family made the decision to become partakers at Storehouse Church of McComb.
The Lead Pastor at Relevant Empowerment Church provides vision and leadership to the staff and the church body of more than 400 members that aligns with the church's mission to “point people to life” and vision to “be a relevant church that makes and equips disciples of Jesus to impact our community and world.”
In conjunction with the Sr. Pastor, I was charged to collaboratively develop, nurture, and communicate the vision and ministry strategy for REC with the staff, leadership, and congregation. I worked with the staff to develop ministry strategies to ensure that yearly plans and goals support the church's vision and mission. I also partnered with the board of elders to develop vision and long-term plans for the staff and church.

The Youth Pastor is responsible for designing, coordinating and overseeing a comprehensive youth ministry program focused on building young disciples for Christ. Areas of focus include group building, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach. Serve as an engaging spiritual leader and role model with strong biblical background.
As Youth Pastor, I was afforded the opportunity to build a ministry area from the ground up. Starting with a Sunday School program that involved approx 15 children, I was able to grow the Youth Program/Department (The Anointed Youth Army) into an area that served over 175 kids weekly. As an introduction to ministry and to make way for proper training, I was licensed as a minister and placed on a one year training regiment. This regiment involved being the Armor Bearer for the Sr. Pastor as well as providing ministerial research, pastoral care, and developing education paths for the church body.
In addition to serving in these roles, I was also watched, trained, and groomed by other Pastors in preparation for Ordination. After the successful completion of my one year licensing/training regiment, I was presented to the Presbytery (a group of regional Pastors, Elders, and Apostles) for ordination. I was unanimously approved for ordination after showing a strong spiritual understanding of theological and doctrinal standards. Some highlights of my duties can be found below.
