  • Provide evaluations and treatment to children and adults with physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy and other complex neuromuscular disorders.
  • Complete evaluations and treatment for children in group therapy programs at Perlman.
  • Have been a part of all group therapy programs including early intervention, toddler, early childhood/preschool, and school aged technology programs for elementary and teenage patients.
  • As an occupational therapist in group programs, work in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients and families.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary CP Clinic with rehabilitation doctors and team, and regularly communicate and collaborate with family, doctors, ophthalmologists, other outpatient therapists, school teams, and outside agencies as needed to coordinate care.
  • Serve as a member of the assistive technology team, and regularly perform a variety of specialty evaluations and treatment including augmentative communication, alternative access, computer access, upper extremity supports, adaptive equipment, and power mobility for both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Also have specialty training in cortical visual impairment assessments (CVI Range) and treatment, and Kinesio® Taping treatment.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for implementing best practices, new therapy techniques, and ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Participate in new program development, staff training, clinical research project with Xavier University, guest lectures for local universities, supervision of occupational therapy students, and numerous professional presentations and publications.
